Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
